25 newlywed game questions

Newlywed game questions test how well partners predict each other, like what you do when your partner starts a story you've heard before. Play it like the TV show, minus the studio: one of you chooses an answer in private, the other guesses it, then you compare. Twosies wrote these 25 for couples at any stage.

Questions people ask

How does the newlywed game work?

One partner answers a question about themselves, the other guesses what they said, and every match is a point. On the TV show a host asks one spouse a question while the other is out of earshot, then brings them back to answer the same one; matching answers score, and the later rounds are worth more points. Here the phone does the hiding: it takes the answer, hands over, and counts each player's hits for the round.

Do you have to be married to play the newlywed game?

Not at all. The questions are about habits and choices, like how you handle realizing you are wrong mid-argument or when you bring up a decision that affects your partner. They work for engaged couples, couples of six months and couples of twenty years.

How do you keep score in the newlywed game?

A point for every answer the guesser gets right, and traditionally the last round counts double or triple so a couple behind on points can still win. On this page a round is ten cards, turns swap each card, and the score at the end is simply how many each of you called correctly.

Can we use these questions at a bridal shower?

Yes. Read them from the list below and have the couple answer on cards or paddles while guests watch. The player on this page is made for two people on one phone, so for a party, reading from the list works better.
